I don't know if you realize that it has another use beyond just keeping a distracted nursling focused! When we go to the supermarket I usually wear Joey in the sling, facing me. This past week, we got very close to checking out when he started getting bored/mad/annoyed. I had the necklace in my pocket and popped it on, and he was fascinated. I felt totally comfortable with him tugging at it and turning it, because I know how well it's constructed. It bought me an extra ten minutes to collect a few final items and check out! Marisa (Nutley, NJ) I received the beautiful nursing necklace today and couldn't wait to put it on, but my 10 month old daughter, Alannah, saw it and just had to have it to play with. The beads' colors and shapes are very cheerful and fun to look at, fiddle with and hold. Eventually, I got it back and Alannah enjoys exploring them as she drinks and it has diverted her hands from twisting, squeezing, pinching and pulling my nipple (whew!). I like that the letter beads interest her now and will also be useful in the future when she begins to learn her alphabet.
